Piétrain
Since 2004, Piétrain has been the home of Louis Vangramberen, his wife Marie-Josee, his daughter Karen, his son-in-law Frank and his two granddaughters Ella and Olivia.
Piétrain is a picture postcard village in Waals-Brabant, close to the linguistic divide between the Dutch and the French speaking part of Belgium. An enchanting region with beautiful pastures, hospitable farms, friendly people and a breathtaking sunset. The village of Piétrain is known around the world for the Piétrain pig, a high quality Belgian breed renowned for its lean meat.
In the heart of his beloved village, Louis set out to create his astonishing Piétrain pigeons. Black-and-white champions, exclusively bred in Piétrain by Louis Vangramberen and his son-in-law Frank Scherens with relentless passion and devotion. In no time the Piétrain pigeon made a name for itself internationally. All around the world pigeon enthusiasts are proud to own a true Piétrain. And the demand for this successful breed is still growing to this day. Louis Vangramberen and Frank Scherens have created a truly exclusive champion.
The creation of the Piétrain pigeon was the true pinnacle in the late Louis Vangramberen’s successful career as a pigeon breeder. And that is why Frank and Karen proudly continue the work of their beloved father and father-in-law, with befitted respect for his passion and achievements. And Louis ... he approved.
